Masked Weaver and Nest – Recycled Metal

Masked weavers can be found throughout southern Africa. Their cocoon-shaped nests, built from papyrus, grass and twigs, have an opening at the base and typically hang over water. Masked weavers are gregarious birds and like to live in large, noisy colonies.

Our masked weaver nests have babies inside! These sculptures are handmade in Zimbabwe from recycled metal and ethically sourced.

The nest is approximately 13cm long and the weaver itself is approximately 14cm long.
