Pied Kingfisher on a Pole – Recycled Metal

This handsome specimen is a Pied Kingfisher. These birds can be found across southern Africa and are very social creatures, often chilling out in pairs or small groups.

This lovely sculpture has been handmade in Zimbabwe from recycled metal and ethically sourced.

The bird itself, from beak to tail, is 23cm long. The overall height with the pole is 135cm.

Note: The bird sits on a detachable steel pole. For local pickups, the pole is included in the price. For shipped orders, the pole is not included but it’s easy to get one from a hardware store. A pole with a diameter of 6mm will fit the bracket under the bird. The length is up to you but we find that 1.2m is a good height.
